About the Role:
As a Bindery Technician at AlphaGraphics, you are the final checkpoint for quality. You take raw printed sheets and transform them into professional marketing materials, books, and signage. We are looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a mechanical mindset, and the "can-do" attitude to meet fast-paced deadlines.

What You’ll Do:
  • Equipment Operation: Set up and operate high-end finishing equipment, including programmable cutters, folders, scorers, stitchers, and laminators.
  • Custom Finishing: Perform specialized tasks like coil/GBC binding, padding, drilling, and shrink-wrapping.
  • Quality Control: Review work orders for accuracy and inspect every finished piece for proper alignment, clean cuts, and correct pagination.
  • Workflow Coordination: Work closely with the digital print and large-format teams to ensure jobs move seamlessly through the shop.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting on bindery machinery to keep the production floor running efficiently.

What You Bring:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a commercial print shop or bindery environment is highly preferred (though we will train a candidate with strong mechanical aptitude).
  • Precision: An obsession with "getting it right." You understand that a 1/16" error in cutting can ruin an entire run.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Problem Solving: A knack for troubleshooting machine jams or minor mechanical issues on the fly.
