To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial print environment
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating a cutter, folder, and stitcher
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and stand for extended periods
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, including marijuana
- Must be available to work on-site in Baton Rouge, LA
Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
Qualifications
What You'll Do
As a Bindery Operator, you'll be at the heart of our production floor, ensuring every product that leaves our facility meets the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Operating all bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, and stitchers, with precision and efficiency
- Proactively troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Conducting frequent quality inspections and pulling hourly run samples to ensure every product meets customer specifications
- Communicating promptly with your manager when quality standards are at risk
- Performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on your assigned machines
- Following all documented processes in company procedures
- Contributing to special projects and supporting the broader production team as needed
