Bindery & Finishing Machine Specialist

Your mission
Own the post‑press process from setup to final inspection. You’ll configure equipment, safeguard quality, and collaborate closely with the team to meet demanding schedules while maintaining a safe, orderly environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure and operate bindery machinery: cutters, folders, stitchers, and related systems
- Execute folding and finishing tasks aligned with production specifications
- Monitor runs for consistency and throughput; optimize settings to improve results
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment reliable
- Inspect finished output for accuracy and finish quality; make corrective adjustments as required
- Partner with colleagues to achieve production deadlines and team goals
- Maintain a clean, well‑organized work area for safety and efficiency
- Comply with all safety procedures and company policies
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or bindery operations is a plus
- Prior experience in a bindery or print production environment preferred
- Proficiency with cutters, folders, stitchers, and allied bindery equipment
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to precision
- Skill in troubleshooting and basic maintenance of bindery machinery
- Ability to manage time effectively and perform under pressure
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Appetite for learning and adapting to new tools and processes
Nice to Have
- Experience with UPS (shipping systems)
- Basic computer skills
Compensation & Rewards
- Starting pay up to $28.00/hour for candidates with full bindery experience and minimal training required
- $2.00/hour increase after 6 months based on performance
- Biannual bonuses based on performance and attendance (Summer & Christmas)
