The BIM Coordinator will support project teams by managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows throughout the design and construction lifecycle. This role ensures accurate model coordination, clash detection, and seamless collaboration between design consultants, trade partners, and internal project teams.

Description

  • Coordinate and maintain federated BIM models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related platforms
  • Lead clash detection processes and facilitate coordination meetings with internal teams, designers, and trade partners
  • Track and verify resolution of model conflicts and design discrepancies
  • Support project teams during preconstruction and construction phases with model-based analysis
  • Assist with model-driven quantity takeoffs, sequencing, and constructability reviews
  • Ensure BIM execution plans (BEPs) are followed and updated as projects evolve
  • Serve as the primary BIM point of contact for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with designers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure accurate model usage
  • Provide technical support and training to project team members as needed
  • Maintain consistency with company BIM standards and project-specific requirements
  • Perform ongoing model audits for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows across the organization

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination within construction
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural models
  • Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
  • Familiarity with mission critical, healthcare, industrial, and/or large commercial projects
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
