Billing Specialist II | Dallas, TX 75252
3 month minimum with potential to go longer if needed. Oral Surgery / Dental billing specialist of at least 2 years required in healthcare billing, claim submission, medical insurance, accounting, and insurance claims. EMR systems. Onsite in Dallas, minimum 3 month project to start ASAP in August

Pay: $21/hr - $24/hr | Based on years of experience 
Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift, onsite
Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience with healthcare billing specifically in healthcare or medical office settings, with a strong understanding of healthcare industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations.
  • Effective computer skills to input to use bookkeeping and account management software in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of patient or customer information.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and similar software systems required.
  • Basic math, bookkeeping and/or accounting skills.
  • Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Organization, time management and prioritization abilities.
Job Summary:
  • Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Ensuring the patient's medical information is accurate and up to date.
  • Preparing bills and invoices, and documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services.
  • Investigate the insurance claims and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Research the stipulations of insurance policies.
  • Collecting and reviewing referrals and pre-authorizations.
  • Monitoring and recording late payments.
  • Collecting and entering claim information.
  • Posting insurance and patients and managing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and payment procedures.
