IDR is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity. This role involves supporting billing, transaction processing, and account maintenance within a high-volume environment. The organization specializes in energy retail operations, focusing on delivering efficient customer billing solutions and process improvements.

Position Overview for the Billing Operations Analyst :

  • Work broadly across multiple processes and systems to become a subject matter expert for Billing & Transaction Management operations.
  • Provide analytical and technical support to Customer Care, Sales, Billing Operations, and Marketing groups.
  • Monitor and analyze incoming errors and correct impacted records individually or in mass to maintain accurate and reliable data.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure processes are completed on time, escalating issues and following through to resolution.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain training materials and programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable on processes, systems, and tools, providing ongoing support to reinforce learning.

Requirements for the Billing Operations Analyst :

  • 2+ years of experience with billing operations, transaction processing, and account maintenance in a high-volume environment
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and data analysis for operational reporting and error resolution
  • Needs experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving billing exceptions, transaction errors, and data discrepancies
  • 1+ year of experience in an Operations/IT/Project Management/Consulting role preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred or 3-5 years direct experience in the Competitive Retailer Energy Market
