Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Billing Manager for a leading specialty healthcare organization in Columbia, South Carolina. This is an onsite opportunity supporting a fast-paced, multi-site medical environment with complex billing operations and a collaborative leadership culture.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Billing Manager will oversee daily billing and revenue cycle operations while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies across the department. This role is responsible for insurance collections, AR performance, reimbursement analysis, reporting, and team leadership in a high-volume healthcare setting. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong healthcare billing expertise, and the ability to lead both operationally and collaboratively across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee billing operations including claims management, insurance collections, patient accounts, and AR performance

  • Analyze reimbursement trends, denials, and financial metrics to improve operational efficiency and revenue outcomes

  • Lead, mentor, and support billing staff while promoting accountability, collaboration, and strong team culture

  • Partner with operational leadership, providers, and finance teams on reimbursement strategy and workflow improvements

  • Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and revenue cycle performance tracking processes

  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen billing workflows and overall department performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong healthcare billing and revenue cycle management experience required

  • Experience with insurance reimbursement workflows, AR analysis, claims processing, and healthcare financial reporting

  • Experience within specialty healthcare, surgical, or multi-site medical environments preferred

  • Familiarity with healthcare billing platforms and reporting systems strongly preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and process improvement skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000-$130,000 annually, depending on experience and healthcare revenue cycle expertise. Benefits are expected to include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement offerings, and additional employee support programs.
