Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Billing Coordinator. Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of client billing and provide status updates to management, attorneys, and legal staff as needed
  • Understand and follow client-specific billing guidelines, requirements, and timelines
  • Monitor billing and eBilling progress, including status reporting and follow-up
  • Revise, troubleshoot, and resubmit rejected or short-paid invoices
  • Analyze, coordinate, and resolve billing issues while keeping appropriate parties informed
  • Communicate complex billing arrangements clearly with senior attorneys, legal staff, and management
  • Process client bills, make or confirm edits to drafts, and review finalized invoices for accuracy and quality
  • Meet monthly billing deadlines, support client requests/reports, and handle sensitive firm and client information with discretion

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, paired with at least two years of experience in a finance, accounting, or billing-related function
  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal-along with the ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of flexibility, initiative, and accountability, with a consistent focus on quality work, collaboration, and supporting broader team and organizational objectives
  • Solid technical proficiency, including advanced use of Microsoft Office and experience leveraging financial or billing systems to enhance workflows, reporting, and client-specific tracking
  • Client-focused mindset with a proactive approach to communication, strong follow-through, and a reputation for delivering a high level of service
  • Motivated, team-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes positively to overall team success

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
