About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our team. The Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing customer billing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with account inquiries. Reporting to the Manager of Billing and Customer Service and based out of our corporate headquarters this role works closely with customer service, accounting, and technical support teams to ensure accurate and timely billing for internet services. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Generate and process customer invoices accurately and on schedule  
  • Review accounts for billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly  
  • Process payments, credits, refunds, and account adjustments  
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment arrangements  
  • Monitor overdue accounts and assist with collections procedures  
  • Reconcile billing reports and prepare account summaries as needed  
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure correct service charges and account updates 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and billing procedures  

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred  
  •  1+ years previous billing, technical support, or administrative experience, a highly transactional environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to learn billing software and CRM systems quickly we are currently using Sonar 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively  

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with software such as Sonar and Datafile or equivalent 
  • Experience in telecommunications or internet service industry  
  • Knowledge of invoicing, collections, and payment processing  
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge  
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
