Job Title: Bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Front Office Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Front Office Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This individual will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by providing administrative support, managing front desk operations, and ensuring efficient communication in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries in both English and Spanish
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments accurately
  • Maintain and update patient records in the EMR/EHR system
  • Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient flow and needs
  • Handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and filing

Qualifications

  • Required: Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical front office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic REQUIRED)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a specialty practice (e.g., neurology, pediatrics, internal medicine)
  • Familiarity with prior authorizations and referral processes
