Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and reliable Bilingual Daycare Assistant to support our childcare team. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about working with young children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff in English and Spanish
- Help with meal times, nap time, and bathroom routines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Support learning through play, activities, and educational materials
- Help manage transitions between activities throughout the day
Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Experience working with children (daycare, preschool, babysitting, or similar) preferred
- Patient, responsible, and nurturing personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to supervise multiple children and stay attentive
- Must pass background check and meet local childcare requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Early childhood education coursework or experience
- Previous daycare or preschool experience
