Shift: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hrs per day


Position Overview:

Sigma, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Bilingual (Spanish) Administrative Assistant to provide essential front desk coverage and administrative support for the Quincy regional office of the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).

This 12 month contract opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary receptionist: greet visitors and callers, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information

  • Support front desk operations and serve as backup to the Office Manager

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly

  • Maintain office supply inventory and ensure equipment functionality

  • Coordinate meeting spaces: manage conference room calendars, set up and break down meeting rooms

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to regional office staff

  • Assist with day-to-day operations and other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information

  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records

  • Comfort with IT systems and Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting state or government agencies

  • Familiarity with the organization and structure of Massachusetts state government

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
