This is What You’ll Do

• Extract clean, and transform data from diverse sources such as databases, APIs, or flat files. Write basic SQL queries to retrieve data and generate reports.
•  Develop standard reports or dashboards using BI tools like Strategy or Power BI under the guidance of more senior engineers.
• Support the integration of data from multiple systems and sources.
•  Engage in training sessions and shadow senior engineers to build technical skills and adopt best practices.
• Perform quality checks on data outputs.
• Document data definitions, data flows, and logic used in reports and models. Provide support and training to business users on how to use BI tools and reports.
•  Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and workflows, supporting iterative development and delivery.
• Assist in the design and development of departmental standards for delivery of solutions that satisfy business requirements and GxP compliance when relevant.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is What it Takes

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics or related IT
• 4 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or reporting
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).

Required Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

• MicroStrategy Certified Developer or MicroStrategy Certified Professional (preferred)
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Strategy, etc.).
• Understanding of databases and data structures.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure).

Physical Requirements

• Position works in-office at the corporate location
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to use a computer and other office equipment
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop as necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to focus and concentrate on tasks for extended periods
• Ability to navigate the office environment safely, including stairs and elevators (if applicable)
• Ability to travel up to 20% via airplane or vehicle (if applicable)
• Ability to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication
