JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PURPOSE

To participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of benefit plan programs across the Andersen Corporation

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides assistance to the benefits design manager and total rewards director in the design and implementation of new benefits as well as in the evaluation of current benefits. This includes compiling and summarizing benefit survey data related to benefit design and performing benefit comparisons, remaining current on benefit trends. Conducts research and benchmarking on new benefit trends. Compiles and provides data to vendors. Participates on project teams for implementation of new vendors and new plan designs. 25%
  • Performs analytical evaluation of benefit design options, including cost analysis.  Leads the pricing of the health care plans along with BPAR and benefits manager by updating rate sheets, provides support documentation, creating stakeholder presentations, maintains account structure, setup sheets, and facilitating with consultants and carriers. Leads annual benefits metrics review with consultant, carriers and business partners. 20%
  • Performs research regarding legal issues and compliance requirements. Stays current on new regulations regarding benefit plans including HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, DOMA, FMLA, PPA, 401(k), PBGC, etc. Alert management to new legislation being discussed that may impact Andersen.  Responsible for annual HIPAA risk review, includes working with cross functional business partners. Complete all required notices and conduct any necessary action required for Andersen to maintain compliance for all benefit plans. Leads data management for government audits. 15%
  • Review benefit contracts for accuracy of design and compliance, maintain Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for appropriate plans, facilitate legal review and work with benefits manager to update Summary Plan Descriptions. 10%
  • Vendor management for select welfare vendors. This includes weekly meetings, issues resolution, delivery of scorecards, etc. 15%
  • Work with benefits administration team on the implementation of new legislative compliance requirements, new plans, etc. Total Rewards project management lead for acquisitions. 15%
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree in HR or related field with at least 5 years experience in benefit plan design or administration.  
  • Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong analytical, statistical and organizational skills. Ability to analyze information and present data to support management decision-making
  • Ability to communicate and interact with HR, Finance and IT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as detail orientation

PAY RANGE:

$78,824.00 - $122,176.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
