Benefits Coordinator – Employee Benefits

We’re seeking a Benefits Coordinator who will make a meaningful impact by delivering proactive client service, thoughtful benefits strategy, and a high-touch experience for both clients and employees.

Responsibilities:

 

What You’ll Do / Your Impact

Client Engagement & Service Delivery

  • Serve as a primary day‑to‑day contact for routine client service needs, coordinating activities with internal teams and external partners
  • Build strong client relationships through professional communication via phone, email, and meetings
  • Assist with client inquiries related to eligibility, billing, enrollment, and claims, escalating complex issues as appropriate
  • Build employee benefit presentations and support open enrollment meetings as needed

Workflow Execution & Administration

  • Coordinate service tasks across internal departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of client deliverables
  • Support carrier submissions by gathering exposure data and program information for quoting, renewals, and marketing
  • Maintain accuracy of client portal information and manage client access as requested

Renewal & Marketing Support

  • Assist with renewal workflows by gathering data, preparing documentation, and coordinating renewal activities according to established processes
  • Support communication with carriers, underwriters, and partners during renewal and marketing cycles

Systems, Documentation & Process Discipline

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation within agency management systems, including policies, correspondence, activities, and attachments
  • Follow established workflows, service plans, and best practices to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery
  • Support updates to client service plans and generate reports on service execution as needed

Team Collaboration & Professional Growth

  • Work collaboratively across service teams to provide a cohesive, enterprise‑wide client experience
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, carrier sessions, and educational opportunities
  • Stay current on carrier products, benefits trends, and regulatory requirements

 

Qualifications:

 

What You Bring

Required

  • Life & Health insurance license or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including spreadsheet validation
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and data integrity

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, insurance brokerage, or carrier roles
  • Working knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness benefit programs
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment for employee benefits

Additional Information:

Compensation:
Hourly range: $26 – $31 per hour

Licensure & Certifications (If Applicable)
