This role serves as a strategic advisor, developing client relationships, delivering tailored benefit solutions, and ensuring a high-quality client experience. The Benefits Consultant plays a key role in expanding the agency's footprint through proactive sales efforts and consultative service.Work ArrangementThis is a full‑time position reporting to our office located in Fairfax, VA.Professional ResponsibilitiesDrive new business development through networking, prospecting, and consultative sales presentationsBuild and maintain a strong pipeline to consistently meet or exceed sales goalsManage the full client lifecycle, including onboarding, renewals, and ongoing relationship managementLead client meetings including renewals, claims reviews, benchmarking, and open enrollment sessionsProvide strategic guidance on benefit plans, market trends, compliance, and cost management strategiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teamsServe as the primary point of contact for client needs, ensuring timely issue resolutionCollaborate with internal support teams to ensure effective service delivery and client satisfactionIdentify opportunities for cross‑selling, upselling, and expanding client relationshipsStay informed on industry trends, emerging solutions, and market developmentsSupport employee education through presentations, communications, and enrollment meetingsManage timelines and key deliverables to ensure successful execution of client initiativesMaintain a professional presence, including leveraging social media and networking to support business developmentQualifications and RequirementsAssociate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field2+ years of experience in sales, consulting, or employee benefitsVirginia Life & Health Insurance LicenseBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field (preferred)Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) designation (preferred)Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including plan design and compliance considerationsProven ability to generate new business and build long‑term client relationshipsExcellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesCritical thinking and problem‑solving skillsProficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and benefits platformsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standardsAbout Patriot Growth Insurance ServicesFounded in 2019, Patriot is a growth‑focused national insurance services firm that partners with employee benefits and property and casualty agencies across the United States.
