As a Behavioral Technician, (Internal title: Residential Support Specialist) you’ll provide direct, person-centered care in a supervised residential setting. You'll use strength-based strategies to encourage wellness, independence, and recovery across all areas of daily living. Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living skills like cooking, budgeting, hygiene, and medication education
- Encourage wellness and recovery goals through coaching and compassionate care
- Help clients access community resources and services
- Monitor individual progress and provide documentation after each shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Support discharge planning, crisis response, and transitional services as needed
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School/Equivalent Required
- At least one year of experience as a CNA, in social/human services, and/or experience working with adults with chronic mental illnesses required
- Must obtain and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, CPI and Medication Level I Aide
