Position: Behavioral Support Specialist
Hourly Rate: $26.20 - $30.10 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, daylight (10-month calendar position)

Job Summary:
Provides an array of behavioral health supports to children in classroom/school. As a member of the team, uses positive approaches as the foundation of all prevention, intervention and supports to the children, their families and the school team. Must work in collaboration with the clinicians, teachers, school administrators to facilitate the best outcomes for each child. Carries out specific assignments as discussed as part of the team. Transfers skills to individuals' natural support in the least restrictive environment. Always supports teachers in managing student behaviors, serves as an exemplar other and ensures efficient communication between the school, family, other service providers and school district representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement instructional, skill acquisition, and behavior support programs for students in individual and group settings.
Collect, maintain, and document student data, progress notes, incident reports, and other required records accurately and on time.
Implement Behavior Support Plans, respond to behavioral crises using approved procedures, and support a safe learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, families, and service providers to monitor student progress and support positive outcomes.
Assist with behavioral and educational assessments and participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and training activities.
Provide coaching and support to staff while maintaining compliance with professional, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Support school-based mental health initiatives through consultation, training, and strong partnership with school personnel.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a human service field
EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred.
Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and technology skills.
Must be adaptable to changing workload, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and available to work the school schedule and calendar.
Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel), experience with data collection/analyzing platforms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to administer CPR. Ability to administer first aid. Ability to create and maintain a therapeutic milieu. Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, and pushing/pulling (1/2 to 3/4 of workday). Seldom requires sitting. May require lifting up to 50 lbs. (1/4 - 1/2 of the workday). Requires repetitive wrist/hand movement (3/4 to 4/4 of the workday). Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in person and via telephone. Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances. Often drives a TCV vehicle or van. Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated (1/2 to 3/4 of work time). Some fluctuation in temperature. Also, regularly works outside. May work in wet conditions (
