Our Adult Behavioral Health is a 16-bed unit for patients age 18 and above, while our Geriatric Behavioral Health is a 19-bed unit for patients age 55 and above. Having both behavioral units, we are able to place patients on the most appropriate unit based on each individuals need and primary diagnosis of mental illness requiring acute inpatient treatment. Patients are required to attend individual and group psychotherapy, activity therapy, and daily visits with providers. Our behavioral unit teams are actively engaged with each patient, building relationships and providing education to each patient throughout the shift. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations and standards regarding the provision of social services and implementation of treatment and discharge planning. Assure the collection and evaluation of social services and discharge planning data according to organization policy, demonstrates professional behavior, and supports philosophy of Baxter Regional Medical Center. Behavioral Health Therapist - Job Requirements: Education: Master of Social Work from an accredited school of social work or related masters degree program (i.e., counseling, etc.) required Licensure: Current Arkansas Social Work license (LCSW/LMSW) in good standing or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) required Experience: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, and hospital or nursing home experience preferred. Certifications: BLS required Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
