We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician to support students in Early Intervention and Low Incidence programs. This role involves providing individualized behavioral and instructional support to students with complex needs. You’ll collaborate daily with certified special education teachers, therapists, and support staff to help students meet academic, behavioral, and developmental goals. Strong communication, consistency, and teamwork are essential.
You will also receive support from a dedicated BCBA team and crisis‑management staff, and you’ll work alongside a motivated teacher committed to creating a positive learning environment.
Instructional Support — Assist with academic content, modify materials, and lead small‑group activities.
Behavior Management — Reinforce positive behavior strategies and follow IEP‑driven behavior plans.
Team Collaboration — Work closely with teachers, therapists, and classroom staff on daily plans and interventions.
Student Supervision — Monitor students during class, transitions, lunch, and recess.
Daily Assistance — Support students with meals, hygiene, toileting, and mobility as needed.
Data Collection — Track progress and assist with classroom documentation.
Environment Management — Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning space.
Crisis Response — Follow established intervention procedures during escalated situations.
Confidentiality — Maintain student privacy and follow professional conduct guidelines.
Training Requirement: Complete at least 20 hours of annual training.
Previous experience as a Behavioral Health Technician (required)
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred)
Comfortable working in an intermediate‑unit‑style environment
Comfortable with toileting, diapering, feeding, and mobility assistance
Strong team‑player mindset
