General Position Summary: The Manager is responsible for the support, training, and coordination of activities of the residential personnel and management of daily operations and services, to serve people with diagnoses of severe and persistent mental illness. This position will identify and monitor program needs, create, plan, and implement training programs, processes, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs in their designated location sites. Reliable and regular attendance is imperative.
Knowledge: Two (2) years' work experience in a position that included supervisory and training responsibilities. Preference to candidates with five (5) years' education in human services field. Must have current Oregon Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must be able to be approved by the background criminal history unit.
Skill & Effort: Ongoing excellent verbal and written communication skills with stake holders inside and outside the organization. Extraordinary interpersonal communication skills and ability empathize with people experiencing challenges. Regular need to design and develop single program (work unit) functions and related processes and procedures. Ability to assess risk as well as to make determinations about tasks and deadlines. Thorough understanding of residential support services. Ability to monitor and prioritize needs. Responsible for the financial sustainability and budget of the program. Extremely organized and detail-oriented and understanding of professional ethics. Ability to quickly become proficient in all office technology required for the position to include; Office Machinery, MS Office programs, Dayforce, Office 365, Intellidoc.
Responsibility: Ability to analyze problems or concepts and make decisions on the information, including organizational operations, programs, expense or budgetary outcomes. Expected to work under minimal supervision. Regularly contribute ideas and decisions or actions which commit to the organization. Ability to decipher outside established policy/procedure are expected to be referred to others for final action. Position requires refined planning and goal-setting skills. Plans must consider options and contingencies and must include methods for handling any difficulties encountered. Position is expected to participate in group activity and focus on the impact of the plan on others. Responsible for a full range of supervisory responsibilities, including providing daily work direction, hire, discipline and terminate employees, recommends pay adjustments, communicate performance appraisals, approve absences, and/or make employee job/assignment.

Working Conditions: The work schedule is not regular and fluctuates to meet the needs of the organization. Responsible to report to varied shifts, such as Day, Swing, Noc. Typically, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours a week on site. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional exposure to temperature change, incident of noise, or interactions of a disagreeable nature. Minimal to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, up to the occasional 75 pounds. Physical capability involves use of office or equipment where some agility and hand eye coordination are needed.
