A community services organization in New York City is seeking a new Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join their team located in Manhattan. In this role, the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) will be responsinble for working with individuals with developmental disabilities across multiple sites in Manhattan.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7am to 8pm (various starts between; approximately 37.5 hours per week)
Setting: Group homes
Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing functional behavioral assessments and support plans
Providing individual and group counseling
Presenting behavioral support plans to the Human Rights Committee
Training staff in behavior support plan implementation
Providing referrals for mental health services
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist
