Overview:
To provide excellent guest service through meat department activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
- Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to Lowes Foods standards.
- Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
- Provides special customer service requests (ie. special cuts, slicing, etc.).
- Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
- Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
- Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
- Assist in product receiving and storage.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous meat cutting experience.
- Meat cutting skill test qualifications.
