The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports the mission of Beauty for Ashes by leading the ministry's marketing and external communications. This role is responsible for promoting Beauty for Ashes programs, events, and resources through social media, email marketing, and digital storytelling, ensuring the ministry's message is communicated clearly and consistently.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about women's ministry and enjoys using marketing and communication skills to share the story and impact of Beauty for Ashes, helping more women, churches, and partners engage with the ministry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing & Content Strategy: Develop and manage marketing efforts that promote Beauty for Ashes programs, retreats, and initiatives. Responsibilities include:
Creating and implementing marketing strategies for ministry programs, events, and campaigns
Planning and maintaining a marketing content calendar for social media and email communications
Creating promotional campaigns to increase awareness and engagement
Designing or coordinating promotional graphics and marketing materials
Coordinating content submissions from staff and ministry contributors
Social Media Management: Manage and grow Beauty for Ashes' presence across social media platforms. Responsibilities include:
Managing ministry social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms such as TikTok)
Creating, scheduling, and posting social media content
Monitoring comments, messages, and engagement across platforms
Responding to inquiries and connecting with followers and alumni
Tracking analytics and identifying high-performing content
Adjusting strategies to increase reach, engagement, and audience growth
Monitoring trends relevant to women's ministry and digital engagement
Email Marketing & Audience Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with ministry participants, alumni, and supporters. Responsibilities include:
Managing the ministry's email marketing platform and contact database
Maintaining and organizing email lists and audience segmentation
Creating monthly newsletters and ministry updates
Developing email campaigns for events, programs, and giving initiatives
Building drip campaigns for new contacts and participants
Tracking engagement metrics such as open rates and click-through rates
Improving communication flow with alumni and participants
Storytelling & Testimony Development: Help communicate the impact of Beauty for Ashes by sharing participant stories and ministry outcomes. Responsibilities include:
Developing a storytelling strategy that highlights the impact of the ministry
Collecting and coordinating written and video testimonies
Converting testimonies into social media posts, newsletters, ministry updates, and fundraising content
Creating a system to archive and organize testimonials for future use
External Communication & Community Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for online communication with the Beauty for Ashes community. Responsibilities include:
Managing the ministry's primary email inbox
Updating database after each event
Responding to inquiries received through email and social media platforms
Communicating with alumni and participants and sharing opportunities to stay engaged with the ministry
Helping strengthen relationships with the Beauty for Ashes community through consistent communication
Create strategy to communicate with alumni and keep them involved in ministry
