JOB TITLE Board Certified Behavior Analyst BCBAREPORTS TOExecutive Director of Special EducationGENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe North Andover Public Schools is seeking a district Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The BCBA will work under the supervision of the Director of Special Education and designated special education personnel.The BCBA will be responsible for developing and implementing behavior interventions and related data collection procedures for children to help increase their academic social and communication skills while also decreasing challenging behaviors both in school and in the home setting.The Board Certified Behavior Analyst may also provide consultation and training to in-home staff when necessary by providing training in ABA strategies. Collaboration with home service cases will include collaborating with families determining staffing needs and oversight of staff.We are seeking a Masters level candidate with experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorder required. Extensive knowledge training and experience with the theories of Applied Behavioral Analysis ABA as well as Discrete Trial Training DTT. Ability to read write and implement lesson plans as well as collect data in a one-to-one situation small group inclusion and community settings.Candidates will regularly work on functional skills in various settings. Working knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication systems for students preferred iPads and APPs e.g. Proloquo2Go TouchChat. Knowledge of FBAs BIPs and assessments ABLLS-RVB-MAPPAFLS. Experience with IEP writing and basic special education regulation knowledge.
