Description
The BCBA will support the Extended School Year ESY program by providing expertise in behavior analysis and intervention. This role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans (BIPs), supporting staff with behavior strategies, and ensuring students receive consistent evidence-based behavioral support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and consult on Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Provide direct and consultative behavioral support to students and staff
- Train and coach teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff on behavior strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection
Qualifications
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
