Job Details BCBA Board Certified Behavior Analyst 2026-2027

Duties

A. Planning and Preparation • Demonstrate expertise in the area of data collection and analysis relevant to student behavioral difficulties. • Support completion of Functional Behavior Assessments • Participate in the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans intended to remediate behavioral and social difficulties for students as identified through data collection. • Assist in the development and implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans with general education building teams for students who are being reintegrated in the general education setting. • Participate and provide support in the development of affectivesocial skills lessons. • Set up transportation for mainstream students in conjunction with SOWIC Staff, including making schedules and contacts to parents and home school teachers when there is a difference in the school day calendars. • Make regular parent and home school teacher contacts for students participating in partial mainstream programming to provide timely updates on student mainstream progress. • Make arrangements and provide communications to all necessary staff for mainstream students to participate in field trips, assemblies, etc. that insures minimal disruption to classroom instructional schedules. • Creation dissemination and monitoring of student assignment sheets for mainstream classes. • Make weekly contact at each building site with regular education classroom teacher or team in order to monitor progress and provide support for mainstream students where needed.

B. Classroom Environment • Monitor and support implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans • Classroom Management Systems and Reinforcement Schedules • Provide Crisis Intervention and Crisis Room coverage of students in Crisis Room • Provide support in the implementation of affectivesocial skills lessons • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities • Internal classroom substitution as needed

C. Instruction • Consult with classroom teachers regarding effective instructional techniques for at risk learners • Possess the knowledge bases and ability to model a variety of questioning and discussion techniques related to instruction • Collaborate with teachers to create learning tasks and activities that engage students in learning • Serve as a resource for teachers to utilize a variety of assessments during instruction to inform teacher of student progress • Facilitate and support teacher responsiveness to student needs during observation of classroom instruction

D. Professional Responsibilities • Provide consultation on the utilization of effective behavioral instructional strategies and techniques for at risk learners • Document crisis visits, incidents, and services provided and maintain written records • Organize and maintain daily individual and staff student data sheets, transportation communications, and physical management incident forms • Attend team meetings as scheduled with reports prepared regarding student utilization of the crisis room, including purpose, frequency, and duration • Help design Individual Behavior Management Plans, set up and monitor reinforcement schedule of those plans • Provide timely dissemination of information related to current progress or needed support services at Joseph Fisher School to help support successful mainstream transition • Monitor staffing schedules for mainstream students and informing building principal of schedule to insure IEP timelines are met • Attend scheduled team meetings for each classroom at Joseph Fisher School to report on students mainstream progress • Reflective assessment of instruction and fulfillment of instructional outcomes • Maintains accurate and complete records of student progress as required by Law and SOWIC Policies • Communicates frequently and effectively with families on an individual or small group basis • Active participant in the professional community • Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with other members of staff • Seeks opportunities to grow and develop professionally • Meets acceptable standards of professional behavior • Consults with appropriate professional staff regarding a students educational program • Initiates, facilitates, and monitors students program to use program delivery is within the least restrictive environment • When it is appropriate and consults with teachers and staff who provide services in the least restrictive environment • Provides in-service training for staff members as appropriate • Provides direction and guidance to teachers, assistants when assigned • Assists in evaluating assigned teacher assistants under the supervision of the Executive Director or his/her certified designee by doing formal annual written evaluations • Observes and follows all SOWIC policies and procedures • Participate in staff development and school improvement activities in order to maintain professional growth • Participate in events outside of the regularly scheduled work day, such as orientation, open houses, or conferences • Performs other duties as assigned by the SOWIC administration

D. Evaluation Formal and informal observations and conferences shall occur as needed or desired by the professional staff member or Executive Director of SOWIC, Assistant Director, and Program Administrator, and shall be an ongoing process

Qualifications

Professional Educator License Endorsement as a Learning Behavior Specialist I Or Professional Educator License Endorsement in School Social Work Or Professional Educator License Endorsement in School Psychology Or Professional Educator License Endorsement as a Speech Language Pathologist or Endorsement as a Speech Language Pathologist non-teaching Or Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Salary Benefits Starting Salary $72,000
