The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) provides behavior-analytic services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BCaBA is responsible for assisting in the assessment, development, and implementation of behavior intervention plans, as well as supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and direct staff to ensure effective service delivery. This role supports individuals with developmental and behavioral needs, promoting skill acquisition and reduction of maladaptive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and support behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA

Conduct skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming

Collect, analyze, and graph data to monitor client progress

Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs)

Provide supervision and training to RBTs and direct staff

Ensure treatment integrity and adherence to behavior plans

Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

Provide parent/caregiver training as directed by the BCBA

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements

Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions

Qualifications

Current certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field

Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred

Strong understanding of ABA principles and data collection methods

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to work in home, school, and community-based settings

Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move for extended periods

Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies, including crisis management when necessary

Supervision

This position operates under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in accordance with BACB guidelines
