About the Role:
The Assistant Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Safety Coordinator in the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of Warrior Met Coal's Safety and Risk Management System. This position provides leadership and direction to assigned safety personnel, supports operational risk reduction initiatives, ensures compliance with federal and state mining regulations, and serves as a key resource for site management regarding safety performance, risk management, respirable dust compliance, and occupational health programs.
The Assistant Safety Coordinator serves as a developmental leadership role within the Safety Department and assists with succession planning, organizational continuity, and the achievement of Blue Creek's safety objectives.
