Full job description Rumson Country Club is seeking a highly motivated bartender with experience, to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers' needs and expectations. Responsibilities * Receives orders from patrons and waitstaff. * Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered. * Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar. * Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized. * Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks * Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations * Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails * Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age * Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies * Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience * Comply with all food and beverage regulations Skills * Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service. * Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. * Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons. * Computer literacy * Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks. * Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately. * Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds. * Must be legal drinking age or older.
