Job Summary
The Bar Apprentice will deliver a quality experience while maintaining a great energy and vibe. Assists the
Bartender in all opening, closing and nightly duties. Responsible for maintaining clean bars, stocking and
cleanliness of silverware, glassware, and dishes and supplying service bar with food for a high-volume venue.
Duties-Responsibilities
Greeting guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome
Exhibit proper menu knowledge and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages,
and any menu items offered
Comply with all state and federal liquor laws
Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a manager’s attention
Maintain a bar inventory, order product to maintain established levels
Ensure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable items
Clean all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintain equipment in good working order
Keep bar tops, floors, service areas, and POS station/s clean/free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash,
and any unnecessary items throughout shift
Polish and wash glassware throughout shift
Prepares all mixes and garnishes
Gets change for Bartender as needed
Assist with loading/unloading of miscellaneous equipment, such as boxes, food and beverage product
Responsible to ensure all stocking is complete, requisitions are filled out and any shortage of stock is
reported
Clean all spills immediately
Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately
Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return
Perform all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment
Communicate effectively with management and service team members in order to fulfill and address
any issues or needs requested by guests and or other team members
Conform to the department grooming standards, uniform or attire, and jewelry policy
Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and all health and
safety regulations set by County health department
Perform side work as assigned
Work Experience & Knowledge-Education Background
2-year experience as a bar apprentice in a similar work environment or 1-year experience in a fine
dining establishment required
Must have a working knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food
Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems and cash handling skills
License-Certificates:
SNHD Food Handlers Card
Alcohol Awareness Cert
Gaming Registration (where required)
Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in The United States
