POSITION SUMMARY:

The Banquet Team Member will assist with all aspects of event, bar, catering and/or food & beverage operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assists guests with questions about the event/facility
  • Coordinates and executes tasks based on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) for each event
  • Assists with all aspects of event setup and tear-down
  • Serves as the bar back for single/multiple bar stations during events
  • Assists with catering responsibilities including food/buffet/beverage delivery, setup, serving, clearing, etc.
  • Helps provide timely client and guest feedback to the leadership team
  • Oversees and assists in post-event cleaning as needed
  • Relay important information about additional orders, allergies, and/or special requests
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices
  • Anticipate guests' needs and exceed customer service expectations
  • Complete any other special projects and daily assignments as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of appropriate experience required
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must be age 21 or older

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions
  • Significant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
