Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings and related matters
2. Provide expert legal advice to clients considering bankruptcy, helping them understand the implications and potential alternatives.
3. Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other related documents.
4. Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients to restructure debts and develop feasible payment plans.
5. Represent clients in court hearings, creditor meetings, and other legal proceedings.
6. Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management.
7. Stay updated on the latest developments in bankruptcy law and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices align with legal standards.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar where the firm is located.
3. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Attorney, with a strong focus on Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases.
4. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings.
5. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
6. Strong knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws and procedures.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
8. High level of professionalism and ethics, with a commitment to client confidentiality.
9. Ability to handle a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Proficiency in using legal software for case management and document preparation.
