The Role

We are seeking a baker with 2+ years of kitchen experience. While experience matters, we are forever a teaching kitchen and value curiosity, humility, and a desire to grow just as much as technical skill. This role will be baking pastries & bread for our new sister business right down the road called Lucky Duck. Lucky Duck is a culinary focused retail store, cafe, and stay. We will be serving coffee, pastries and bread in the morning, alongside a small selection of refrigerated snacks. Employed by Hayward, you will also support the pastry, pasta and bread program of Hayward as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Prep all ingredients for small baked goods menu

  • Mix our focaccia and country loaf doughs

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strong mise en place

  • Assist teammates when support is needed

  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Contribute to delicious, thoughtful, and beautiful food every service



Schedule

This is a fulltime position

  • Lucky Duck will be open Thursday through Monday

  • This shift will be EITHER Thursday - Monday 5am - 1pm OR Friday - Monday 5am - 3pm
