Job Description:
Overview
We are looking for a strong backend ServiceNow Developer to support platform development, integrations, and delivery for an engineering-focused team. This is an onsite role in Santa Clara and requires hands-on expertise across scripting, deployments, and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop backend ServiceNow solutions using server-side scripting
  • Build and maintain UI Builder Workspaces, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client callable APIs, and scheduled jobs
  • Implement and support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and integration hubs
  • Own promotion of code from lower environments to production using governed release processes
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow, including source control and automated deployments
  • Partner closely with architects, platform owners, and other developers to deliver production-ready solutions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause analysis
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong ServiceNow development experience with emphasis on backend scripting
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript in the ServiceNow platform context
  • UI Builder experience
  • Hands-on experience with update sets, application scopes, and deployment best practices
  • Proven experience moving code across environments (dev, test, prod) in enterprise setups
  • CI/CD experience for ServiceNow, including Git-based source control and pipeline tools
  • Solid experience building and supporting integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
  • Understanding of platform security, ACLs, and performance considerations
Nice to Have
  • Experience with ServiceNow DevOps, CICD spokes, or third-party DevOps tools
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or engineering-led ServiceNow environments
  • Familiarity with ITSM, CMDB, or custom application development on ServiceNow
