The Financial Planning team within Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Engineering builds platforms and experiences that enable clients to plan for their futures with clarity and confidence. As a Backend Developer, Specialist, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing scalable services that power our financial planning capabilities. You'll bring strong technical expertise while collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and business partners to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and build RESTful services that support scalable, high-availability applications. Develop and maintain data solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability. Partner with DevOps to support and enhance CI/CD pipelines. Contribute to trunk-based development practices, including test automation as part of feature delivery. Collaborate through code reviews, shared problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Participate in engineering practices such as service discovery and environment strategy. Support production systems, including on-call support when needed. Continuously learn and grow while supporting teammates in solving complex technical challenge.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field is required. • 3+ years of hands-on experience with application and service development using C# and .NET frameworks (ASP.NET, .NET Core). • 3+ years' experience in Distributed Databases Microsoft SQL Server(preferred) and NoSQL database: MongoDB etc. • Experience with event-driven systems preferred (Kafka, RabbitMQ, message queues, etc.) • Professional experience with RESTful and SOAP API development. • Professional experience with source code repository tools, such as Bitbucket or GitHub. • Strong communication skills - you balance written and verbal communication to clearly share your perspective with others on the team.

Preferred qualifications: • Experience with application and service development using Java and Springboot. • Experience with Github actions and setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo. • Experience with both Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform. • Experience working in a fast-paced financial services domain is preferred. • Experience working with Microsoft Copilot. • Demonstrated mindset of continuous learning and improvement.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
