As a Back of House (BOH) Team Member, you will:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Chick-fil-A’s operational excellence and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to meet and exceed Chick-fil-A and FDA’s rules and regulations.
  • Proactively stock, organize, and rotate inventory to uphold freshness standards, ensure product quality, and support efficient kitchen operations.
  • Support all Team Members to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

A Typical Day as a Back-of-House Team Member

  • Start Your Shift: Arrive promptly, review assigned prep lists, and fully set up your station to ensure readiness, efficiency, and a successful shift.
  • Food Preparation: Execute the preparation, cooking, and assembly of menu items with precision, consistency, and efficiency while adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain Standards: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety by maintaining a well-organized, sanitized, and compliant work area throughout the entire shift.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration with both Front of House and Back of House team members to ensure seamless coordination and timely service.
  • End-of-Shift Duties: Complete all closing responsibilities, including thoroughly cleaning and resetting kitchen stations, restocking essential supplies, and preparing the workspace for the next day’s operations.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (unless otherwise stated in the job posting)
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Consistent, dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Work well independently and with a team
  • Must work a specific schedule that will include Fridays, Saturdays, and/or evenings. Example - 5:45 AM to 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, five days a week for a full-time schedule.
  • Able to stand for long periods, work under pressure, and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Chick-fil-A, restaurant, or food service experience.
