Back-End Developer

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a Back-Front-End Developer to support a U.S. Intelligence Agency in Springfield, VA.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Back-End Developer willimplement, and maintainserver-side logic, APIs, and system integration for TSSC applications. Ensure back-end components meet technical requirements, security standards, andsupport the overall mission objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and APIs
• Building and managing databases, and ensuring data integrity and security
• Design and optimize database queries and data access layers
• Integrate with Government authentication systems and security frameworks
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Leading code reviews and promoting best practices in back-end development
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Create and maintain documentation for back-end systems and interfaces
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
• Coordinate with data engineering team on database design and implementation
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in back-end development
• Expertise in one or more back-end programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Ruby, orDocker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of server-side frameworks (e.g., Django, Spring, .NET).
• Knowledge of database design and optimization techniques
• Experience with API development and integration
• Understanding of security best practices for classified environments
• Experience with authentication and authorization systems(e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with API design and development (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g.,Node.js).
• Strong understanding of database technologies, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL
• Active TS with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with classified systems and security requirements
• Knowledge of TSSC operations and requirements
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services
• Understanding of signal processing and data analysis techniques
• Experience with high-performance computing for data processing
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached
• Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (aC) tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Experience with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)

Salary at VISTA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000.00to $145,000.00(annualized USD) based on years of experience. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of VISTA's total compensation package for employees.
