B Level Automotive Technician – $25–$35/hr
Location: Blacksburg, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $25–$35/hr (Hourly + Production Bonus)
Earning Potential: ~$70K–$75K+ annually
Position Summary
Promotive is hiring a skilled B Level Automotive Technician for a growing, family-owned repair shop in Blacksburg, VA that is reopening and expanding its team. This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, light diagnostics, and being part of a tight-knit, ground-floor team.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
- Complete suspension, steering, and chassis repairs (shocks, struts, etc.)
- Handle brake, maintenance, alignments, intermediate diagnostic skills and general mechanical services
- Conduct inspections and identify needed repairs accurately
- Maintain productivity goals of 40+ hours per week
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience as an automotive technician
- Tech savvy and ability to perform digital vehicle inspections
- Strong mechanical skills with light diagnostic ability
- ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
- Positive attitude, self-starter mindset, and team-oriented approach
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $25–$35/hr based on experience
- Production bonus structure:
- 40 hours flagged = +$2/hr
- 45+ hours flagged = additional +$2/hr
