Job Role: AWS Technical Lead
Location: Miami FL onsite
Job Description:
Core Responsibilities
Design and Deployment: Design, build, deploy, and maintain cost-efficient, scalable, and secure cloud architectures and infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. This includes services like Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPCs, subnets, Ingress, ALBs, proxies and security groups.
Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives and develop cloud-based solutions and strategies that align with business goals and support anticipated growth.
Cloud Migration: Lead and assist with digital transformation efforts, including migrating existing workloads, applications, and archaic systems into the AWS cloud.
Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, access controls, and encryption, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-53).
Optimization: Continuously monitor, reassess, and optimize cloud systems for cost-effectiveness, performance, and efficiency, for example, by utilizing reserved or spot instances.
Automation: Develop and deploy automation tools, scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and CloudFormation templates to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual effort.
Troubleshooting
Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and perform ongoing maintenance of cloud systems to prevent data breaches, minimize downtime, and ensure high availability and business continuity.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Deep expertise in AWS services and architecture best practices, often demonstrated through the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and Professional certifications
Strong proficiency in infrastructure scripting and experience with cloud automation tools.
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex cloud architecture challenges.
Exceptional communication skills for effectively collaborating with and providing technical guidance to developers, system administrators, and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrating legacy systems.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving cloud technologies and trends.
