IDR is seeking a AWS Solutions Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role involves working within a complex cloud environment supporting numerous staff and students, focusing on AWS architecture, operations, and support. The company operates in the technology and education industries, emphasizing scalable cloud solutions and internal system enhancements.
Position Overview for the AWS Solutions Architect :
- Provide expertise in designing, building, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure to support large-scale applications and user bases.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external AWS professionals to optimize cloud architecture, security, and operational efficiency.
- Support critical projects involving AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and identity management, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Assist in internal portal development for staff and students, including cloud housekeeping, optimization, and scalability.
- Work closely with internal IT and cloud teams to phase out reliance on external AWS support personnel and internalize cloud skills.
Requirements for the AWS Solutions Architect :
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified Cloud Ops Engineer.
- At least 3-5 years of experience with AWS architecture, operations, and support.
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, S3, Networking, Identity Center, and RDS.
- Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network configuration.
- Ability to design highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems, including multi-AZ deployments and load balancing.
