Summary
Provides support for O, I and D-level tasks in support of Presidential Helicopter platforms in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.
Senior-level avionics technician supporting VH-92A, VH-3D, VH-60N, test aircraft and other aircraft periodically hosted by PMA-274.
Description: Advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions and incorporating engineering changes. Requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in performing tasks such as circuit analyses, calculating wave forms and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
Essential Functions
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
