Job Title: Avionics Technician IV
Location: Hagerstown, MD (Onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for extension) Pay Rate: $48.00/hr

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician IV to join our clients Platform Integration team. In this role, you will apply expert-level technical knowledge to perform avionics maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting in strict accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. You will handle moderately complex systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational readiness for mission-critical aircraft.
Primary Responsibilities- Installation & Repair: Perform complex installation, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics components and systems.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret intricate technical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to route wires and integrate hardware.
- Maintenance: Maintain test equipment, tools, and technical publications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Precision Benchwork: Utilize advanced skills in wiring, soldering, crimping, and repair techniques.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical mentorship to subordinate technicians.
- Safety & Compliance: Serve in a safety-sensitive capacity, inspecting structures and vehicles while handling hazardous materials or heavy machinery as required.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:- Experience: Typically 10+ years of relevant avionics experience (Related higher-level degrees may substitute for years of experience).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Tools: Must possess a personal set of tools in good working order.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to route wires per technical drawings and expertise with avionics installation tooling.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in English (Read/Write/Speak).
Preferred Skills:- Industry Background: Prior experience in Aerospace & Defense, US Department of Defense (DoD), or US Military environments.
- Equipment Knowledge: Basic understanding of Oscilloscopes, Spectrometers, and Pitot-static equipment.
- Certifications: Familiarity with FCC regulations and FCC GROL.
- Security: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance if required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions- Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, climbing, and repetitive hand/arm motions.
- Vision/Hearing: Must have excellent color perception, depth perception, and the ability to discern various tones and volumes.
- Environment: Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (extreme temperatures, rain, snow), loud noises, and fumes or hazardous chemicals.
