Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E), Avionics Integration Department is hiring a Section Manager. This is a dual-hat role that combines functional leadership with hands-on technical execution. The Section Manager will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 13-17 Avionic Engineers responsible for development, production and field support of Avionics equipment across one or more of the following subsystems: Communication, Navigation, Identification/Interrogation, Data link, Computer/Mission Planning, Network and Storage, Weapons, Antenna/SIGINT, EW, EO/IR, Radar, and/or Mission Planning. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida.
The successful candidate for this dual hat role will be responsible for providing functional leadership and direction to section members, ensuring members have sufficient statement of work, managing member performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers), coordinating with programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions. The Section Manager will be the first point of contact for performance issues on programs involving section members, including decisions on escalation and resourcing.
Responsibilities also include day-to-day operation of the functional organization including decisions regarding awards and recognition, performance evaluations, salary review processes, staffing and employee movement between programs, balancing resources across programs, employee development and mentoring, ensuring proper charging practices are followed, meeting indirect budget targets, and interpreting higher level guidance for implementation within the organization.

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate''s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
