A Project Engineer is a professional who is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
Aviation Project Engineer
We are looking to hire a licensed professional Aviation Project Engineer. We offer opportunities to work on a variety of complex local airport agency and private clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and hold a PE.
Location
The following locations have an aviation team and or focus on aviation business development: Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, 4 locations throughout Nebraska (Bellevue, Grand Island, Lincoln, Omaha) and 4 locations throughout Kansas (Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka, Manhattan), Kansas City, MO, and Nashville, TN. Remote work will be considered.
The Impact You Will Have
Design responsibility for elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security and fuel facilities
Responsible for project design calculation files, ensuring adequate independent quality control reviews
Manage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates and pay items
Coordinate and review drafting and the assembly of plan sets
Develop and oversee task work plans for assigned team members
Engage in active team communication
Organize technical meetings among design staff
Perform occasional field construction observation, sometimes requiring out-of-town travel
Active involvement in professional organizations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
Experience with FAA design standards
P.E. license (PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING LICENSE)
Demonstrate advanced use of CADD
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to perform complex analysis and design
Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
