Your Impact
The Aviation Parts Sourcing Specialist ensures seamless aircraft maintenance operations by managing comprehensive parts procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory coordination. This role combines strategic sourcing expertise with hands-on operational support, working closely with maintenance teams to locate, order, and deliver critical aviation parts and supplies for on-demand aircraft repair and maintenance operations while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

Where You Make Your Mark
As the Aviation Parts Sourcing Specialist at Jet Access, youll serve as the critical link between our maintenance operations and supply chain, ensuring uninterrupted aircraft service capability. Heres what your role encompasses:
• Purchase Order Management • Prepare and process purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers and departments to ensure accurate fulfillment • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications for aviation-specific parts and supplies • Calculate order costs and coordinate invoice processing with appropriate accounts • Track status of requisitions, contracts, and orders throughout the procurement lifecycle • Compare suppliers bills with purchase orders and bids to verify pricing accuracy and contract compliance • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Relations • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates among potential suppliers to determine optimal sourcing decisions • Locate and evaluate new suppliers using catalogs, internet resources, and industry contacts • Interview potential vendors to gather detailed product information and assess capabilities • Build and maintain relationships with aviation parts suppliers and key industry contacts • Negotiate pricing and terms while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory purchasing requirements • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination • Monitor inventory quantities and determine when materials need reordering to maintain optimal stock levels • Check incoming shipments to ensure orders are filled correctly and goods meet aviation quality specifications • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and supply chain issues • Maintain purchasing files, reports, and price lists for efficient procurement operations • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation • Maintain current knowledge of aviation industry regulations and purchasing guidelines • Provide guidance to team members and vendors regarding organizational and governmental purchasing rules • Ensure all procurement activities comply with FAA regulations and aviation industry standards • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes • Support quality assurance processes for aviation parts and materials • Process Improvement & Special Projects • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards • Analyze supplier performance and recommend improvements to the supply chain • Support implementation of new procurement technologies and systems • Collaborate with maintenance teams to understand parts requirements and lead times • Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success
What Will Make You Successful
Required Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required Prior experience with aviation parts purchasing strongly preferred Experience in aviation maintenance and/or manufacturing environments preferred Ability to maintain and secure confidential, protected information Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple changing priorities and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to operate independently and achieve results in fast-paced environments Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities with focus on analyzing information to benefit both suppliers and customers Professional demeanor when interacting with team members, clients, vendors, and guests from diverse backgrounds Commitment to Jet Accesss core values of safety, excellence, and positive culture
Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful
Bachelors degree in aviation, business, supply chain management, or related field Advanced knowledge of aviation parts terminology, specifications, and regulatory requirements Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or procurement software systems Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management experience Knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation industry compliance standards Experience with international shipping and customs procedures for aviation parts Understanding of aircraft maintenance schedules and parts lead time requirements Ability to work extended hours during critical maintenance periods Track record of process improvement and cost reduction initiatives Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management
