Aviation DesignerIntegrity • Commitment • Quality • Relationships • InnovationAs an Aviation Designer at Hanson Professional Services Inc., you will plan, design, and oversee the construction of aviation infrastructure across the U.S. and abroad, balancing societal benefits with environmental stewardship.Day in the LifePerform engineering calculations and use design software to support aviation and civil site projects.Obtain permitting, collect existing physical data, and support planning and design tasks.Assist with site investigations, field reconnaissance, utility location, and permit application processes.Support construction document preparation, contractor pricing assistance, and project closeout documentation.Collaborate with senior technical staff.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation & TrainingBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (required).FE/EIT certification desirable or scheduled prior to graduation.0–3 years of aviation project experience.Technical SkillsCAD experience and/or willingness to learn AutoCAD/Civil 3D.Soft SkillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively to develop and present concepts.Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external clients.Strong oral communication and technical writing skills.Strong sense of urgency and initiative to meet deadlines.Work ExpectationsAbility to collaborate remotely with colleagues in other offices.Willingness to travel for out‑of‑town assignments and work overtime as needed.Valid driver's license required.Salary Range: $74,000 – $85,000BenefitsCompetitive compensationPerformance bonuses401(k) with matching contributionEmployee Stock Ownership PlanComprehensive health & well‑being plansFinancial wellness plansWork‑life balance programsEqual Opportunity EmployerWe do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies/staffing firms.
