We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Visual Lead Technician to oversee and execute the installation of professional AV systems. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality results delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead crews in the installation of commercial audio visual systems
- Read and implement electronic CAD designs and construction blueprints
- Oversee cabling, device mounting, equipment racking, terminations, and labeling to meet high workmanship standards
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, contractors, and clients throughout the installation process
- Motivate and manage technicians and subcontractors to maintain project timelines and quality
- Conduct system testing for technical performance and functional use
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues onsite as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and job site protocols
Requirements:
-3-5 years of experience in commercial A/V installation as a lead technician
-Ability to read and implement electronic CAD designs
-Commercial cabling, lacing, soldering and crimping experience
-Execute firmware updates and Extron MLC configuration
-50% overnight travel required
Preferred:
-CTS, CTS-I certification
-Osha 10 or 30 certification
