Technicians must be proficient in the repair process of engines, transmissions, and drivetrains, including understanding the breakdown of combustion, fuel injection, lubrication, and how these systems work
Technicians must be knowledgeable in the electrical and electronic Systems: Today's vehicles rely on highly electrical systems, sensors, and computerized modules; technicians should be able to handle wiring, battery systems, sensors, and hybrid/electric vehicle components if needed.
Technicians must be knowledgeable in brake, suspension, and steering systems. Knowledge of hydraulic brakes, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), suspension components, and steering is critical for safety and vehicle control
Technician must know HVAC systems. Must be able to service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and have knowledge of the machines and procedures required for both R‑134a, R‑1234yf systems.
