Main Duties & Responsibilities:Follow proper testing & diagnostic procedures to accurately solve vehicle issuesMaintain a clean, safe working environmentPerform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotationPerform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinationsTest the functionality of parts and systemsRepair brake and steering systemsDiagnose and repair electrical and electronic systemsReplace or repair transmissions and fuel components as neededRepair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine coolingComplete tire changing, balancing, and installationPrepared to get additional certification as neededWillingness to learn with hands-on trainingCommunicate effectively with Service Advisor about vehicle status and required parts and laborExplain automotive repairs and issues to non-technical employees and customers as neededUphold the culture and values of our independently owned shopWork ExperienceQualifications:Possess a valid state driver’s licenseHigh school diploma or equivalent educationStrong automotive diagnostic and repair skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical skills Our shop is growing, and we are looking to hire an automotive technician with excellent automotive diagnostic and repair skills to join our team!
